This ancient shrine of Grandmother-Growth rises some 1,000 meters above the Chapalagana River.

Zingg reported that she created the huge rock--identified with the puma--that lies under this shrine.

Huichols told Zingg that the candles they use are the hands (shown below) of Grandmother-Growth, to whom they pray for long life.

They also stated that she made the first rock-crystal. One singing "shaman" revealed to Dr. Fikes that this particular rock crystal was once Tacutzi (Grandmother-Growth).
